![]() The first time, Sophitia will happily greet the protagonist before challenging them to a battle. In the Libra of Souls campaign, Sophitia can be encountered twice: once in Athens, and again in the European Wilderness. He then abruptly leaves, with Sophitia trying to follow him (which proves to be unsuccessful). Afterwards, Siegfried becomes more confident and thanks Sophitia for giving him the necessity to seek repention for the sins he has caused. The two of them then battle, which leads to Siegfried becoming desperate for Sophitia to end his life, but Sophitia refuses and instead heals him of his wounds. But eventually, her senses lead her to Siegfried, whom she learns was the previous wielder of the cursed sword after Cervantes. Sophitia encounters numerous malfested along the way, and uses her healing powers to revive them. ![]() She leaves her home in search of the cursed sword once more. She reunites with her sister Cassandra and her fiance Rothion, and is blessed by Hephestaus as the chosen warrior to carry out the task of finding the Soul Edge once more and destroying it.Īfter Rothion crafts a new sword and shield for Sophitia to carry out the task. Sophitia eventually recovers from her injury, but is left permanently scarred as the shard remains lodged into her chest. Cervantes is about to finish her, but Taki jumps in the way and kills Cervantes, whilst destroying one of the two swords Cervantes was weilding, although the remaining sword was left intact. ![]() In the intro sequence, Sophitia battles Cervantes to destroy Soul Edge, but in the process is severly wounded when a shard of the cursed sword lodges into her chest. Sophitia's role is nearly identical to that from the first two games. Left with no other choice, Sophitia sacrificed herself to save her daughter's life by removing the shard from her own heart and implanting it within Pyrrha. When Nightmare was defeated, Pyrrha slowly began to die because Soul Edge had left this world. It was revealed in the Soulcalibur V material collection that a shard of Soul Edge was implanted near her heart after fighting Cervantes, and it was impossible to remove without killing her. She is succeeded by her son Patroklos and, to some extent, her daughter Pyrrha. Tira escapes, and in Soulcalibur IV, Sophie's daughter Pyrrha gets kidnapped and infected by Soul Edge, forcing her to turn to the dark side. She encounters Tira, who she fights after she makes a threatening remark about her family. In Soulcalibur, II, & III, she becomes a maternal figure due to her children being threatened by Soul Edge. She does, but is unable to reach Nightmare before he's defeated, so she returns back and marries Rothion. But the blacksmith god came back to ask her to go destroy the still-at-large Soul Edge. During Soulcalibur, she falls in love with a young blacksmith, Rothion. Saved by Taki from certain death, she is able to return to her normal life. ![]() She reaches Cervantes' lair, but ends up being gravely injured in the battle. Starkiller also appears as a crossover character, along with Darth Vader and Yoda, in the fighting video game Soulcalibur IV, which was released before The Force Unleashed and included the character as a contemporary tie-in.Sophitia Alexandra is the daughter of a Greek baker chosen by the god Hephaestus to destroy Soul Edge. The character's likeness and voice were provided by Samuel Witwer, who would later voice Darth Maul in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels and in the film Solo: A Star Wars Story. The character's name is taken from Luke Skywalker's original name, "Luke Starkiller". His annihilative nature gains him the description of a "Force wrecking ball". Given the Sith name "Starkiller" for his unmatched potency with the Force, Marek is used for destructive purposes. The son of a fugitive Jedi, Marek is kidnapped, raised, and apprenticed by Darth Vader after the death of his father at Vader's hands. Starkiller, born Galen Marek, is the fictional protagonist of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video games and literature, part of the Star Wars expanded (Legends) universe.
